Birch lymph is extracted from the trunk of the homonymous plant (Betula Alba) which lives in the wooded areas of northern Asia, Canada and Northern Europe. It is widely used in gemmotherapy and cosmetics, thanks to its draining, diuretic, purifying and rebalancing properties.
The lymph collection takes place by inserting tubes in the trunk of the adult plant and collecting it with vases at the foot of the trunk. From a trunk with a diameter of 50 centimeters, up to 4-5 liters of lymph in about four days are extracted. It is rich in mineral salts, amino acids and sugars.
It is used in different forms, such as herbal teas, tinctures, drops, extracts and lymphs and in cosmetic formulations for specific hair treatments.

The precious lymph is often used in shampoo and lotions formulas thanks to its multiple beneficial effects on the hair: rebalance and purify skin and oily hair, limiting the formation of the sebum. In addition, it has calming, and revitalizing properties, exerts a reinforcing action and helps fight hair loss.
