Tales from Nature
Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Globulus) is a plant in the Myrtaceae family, known as the gum tree, whose name comes from the Greek eucalyptos: "well hidden," in reference to the typical shape of its flower. Native to Australia, it is a very tall evergreen tree (it can reach 90 meters), which has been cultivated in many parts of the world since the late 1800s, particularly in warm climate countries.
The indigenous peoples of Australia, where it originated, have always known of its healing properties. In Italy it was introduced in the 1800s by the Trappist Fathers and spread especially in malarial areas: in addition to warding off mosquitoes with its aroma, in fact, it is capable of absorbing enormous quantities of water, reclaiming the swampy territories where the disease was spreading.
Essential Oil is extracted from the leaves. It has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties and is used for cosmetic, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical purposes and in room diffusers and air fresheners, as well as in balsamic ointments to alleviate cold or flu symptoms.
Hair Benefits
It is a very powerful natural purifier. Its effect on the scalp is similar: it removes toxins that accumulate and weaken the hair, slowing its growth and increasing the risk of premature hair loss.
Removing these toxins (generated by stress, diet, and many other factors) ensures the proper supply of oxygen and nourishment to the hair, promoting faster and healthier growth.
Skin Benefits
In skincare products, especially in defatting creams, it offers an instant feeling of freshness, relieving heaviness in the legs and promoting blood circulation. It also improves the appearance of the skin, making it more elastic and firm.
