Tales from Nature
Melaleuca Alternifolia, commonly known as Tea Tree, is a tree belonging to the Myrtaceae family, native to the federal states of Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. It was given its name by Captain James Cook, who recognized the possibility of obtaining a beverage similar to spiced tea.
It is not to be confused with Camellia Sinensis from which the beverage known as tea is made. Melaleuca Essential Oil, known as Tea Tree Oil or tea tree, with local fungicidal, antiseptic and antibacterial properties, is extracted from it. It represents one of the most powerful natural remedies for skin and hair.
Hair Benefits
In Skin Specific Treatments, it is effective against inflammation and irritation of the scalp and can also be used in cases of pediculosis and can combat dandruff and rebalance sebum regulation.
Skin Benefits
Thanks to its purifying, antimicrobial and antiseptic properties, it acts on the skin by killing bacteria nestled inside the pores and helps prevent infection and maintain healthy skin. It penetrates deeply, normalizing sebum production and promoting disinfection of hair follicles.
It also helps eliminate dead skin cells, which normally clog pores.
