Tales from Nature

Yarrow (Achillea Millefolium) is a genus of plant belonging to the Asteraceae family, known for its number of species and different sizes. It is an herbaceous perennial plant with a hardy stem that can reach a height of 30-50 cm, with a long flowering period. The name of the genus was set by Linnaeus and comes from the belief that Achilles used these plants during the siege of Troy to heal Telefo's wounds on the advice of Venus.

These plants are typical of regions in the northern hemisphere. Some species also grow in North America; about 20 wild species have been identified in Italy.
