The Almond tree is a plant native to central western Asia, belonging to the Rosaceae family. Through the Phoenicians it was introduced to the Mediterranean from Sicily and to America only in the 16th century. It can reach up to 5 meters in height.
Sweet Almond Oil is extracted from the oily seeds of the sweet almond tree and is probably the best known and most widely used vegetable oil in natural cosmetics, known for its emollient and soothing properties and enormous benefits on skin and hair.
