The Annona Cherimola "El Bumpo" plant is a small tropical tree native to Latin America (Ecuador and Peru) and already cultivated by Inca peoples in the Andean highlands. It can reach about 7 meters in height. From its areas of origin it has been spread to various parts of the world.
It has an expanded, messy foliage. The tropical fruit is delicious, the flesh is fragrant, creamy ivory-white, sweet, with notes of banana, pineapple, and vanilla, making it an extraordinarily tasty fruit. Reaching sizes up to 10-15 cm, the flowers are small but have a pleasant fragrance.
It is known and used in cosmetics for its strong antioxidant properties.
