Tales from Nature

Beech also called common beech, wild beech or western beech, is a tree belonging to the Fagaceae family. It can reach large sizes, up to 30-40 m in height. It has a very hard and compact wood. It grows in Western Europe. It is also called the "tree of knowledge" because of its large size. It is possible to enjoy its properties by using its different parts: both the thin bark and the buds, seeds and leaves are qualitatively rich, attributes known from ancient times.

From the buds, Beech Bud Extract is obtained, an active ingredient found in cream formulas with anti-aging properties, in draining products for the formulation of anti-cellulite creams and for toning and firming legs.

This extract has astringent, antiseptic, purifying, and disinfectant properties, and traditionally beech leaves were used to alleviate sunburn and irritation and to deflate stye eyes. The ashes of its burned wood were also used for balsamic ointments to soothe coughs and fevers. It also turns out to perform well as an aid to fight free radicals and premature aging of the skin.

These sprouts, are rich in components that support cell renewal and promote a smoothing effect on the skin.
